We are the data controller for personal information processed through demosite3.com (the "Site"). If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@demosite3.com.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of personal data, and we do not require you to create an account to read the Site.
3. How we use information
- To operate, maintain and improve the Site and its content;
- To respond to your enquiries and send newsletters you have requested;
- To measure audience size and understand which content is useful;
- To display advertising, including personalised advertising where you have consented;
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents;
- To comply with legal obligations.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our legal bases are your consent (for non-essential cookies and personalised ads), our legitimate interests (operating and securing the Site), performance of a contract (newsletters you request) and compliance with legal obligations.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use strictly necessary cookies to make the Site work, and — with your consent where required — analytics and advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time using the link or by adjusting your browser settings. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.
5. Advertising and Google
The Site is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense and Google Ad Manager to serve ads. These services may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info or, in the EU, www.youronlinechoices.eu.
- To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we use Google Consent Mode and only enable personalised advertising after you have given consent. If you decline, Google may still serve non-personalised ads, which use cookies only for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention.
6. Analytics
We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics collects information such as pages visited, time spent and the type of device used, and reports aggregate trends to us. You can prevent Google Analytics from using your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
7. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only with:
- Service providers that host the Site, deliver email and provide analytics, under contracts that restrict their use of the data;
- Advertising partners such as Google, as described above;
- Authorities where required by law or to protect our rights, users or the public;
- A successor in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
8. Data retention
We keep contact enquiries for up to 24 months, newsletter data until you unsubscribe, and server logs for up to 90 days. Cookie lifetimes are listed in our Cookie Policy. We delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed.
9. Your rights (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
You have the right to access, rectify or erase your personal data; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, email privacy@demosite3.com. We respond within one month.
10. Your rights (California and other US states)
If you are a resident of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. You can opt out by declining advertising cookies in our cookie settings, by enabling the Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, or by emailing us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
11. Children's privacy
The Site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Security and international transfers
We use HTTPS encryption and reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information. Our servers and some of our providers are located in the United States. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site.
